Maubeuge

This renovation illustrates how a well-thought-out project can transform an ordinary space into a welcoming and inspiring living area.

    67 m²
  • Type
    Appartement

This 67 sqm apartment, located in a late 19th-century building in a former working-class neighborhood, was renovated to create a bright and modern living space. The transformation began with the removal of the attic floor, making it possible to create a double-height main living area.

The project skillfully plays with transparency, enhancing natural light and offering unobstructed views. Although the original building lacked distinctive character, the renovation breathes new life into it through references to mid-century style, Parisian cut stone, and influences from the South of France.

The carefully chosen materials include varnished oak, white polished concrete, Dordogne stone, and lime plaster, all sourced in France. This material palette reinforces the warmth and authenticity of the space while adding a contemporary touch.
