The project involved transforming a 24 m² apartment that was poorly laid out, with the bathroom initially occupying a third of the space. The renovation was guided by the natural light streaming in from the skylights, offering an open view of the sky. To soften the sharp angles of the sloped ceilings, rounded lower walls were designed, creating a fluid and harmonious atmosphere.
The floor, walls, and ceiling materials were unified, forming a “tube” in which the sky becomes the focal point. The polished concrete flooring blends seamlessly with the lime-painted walls, without visible transitions, creating a calming sense of continuity. The choice of lime and tinted okoumé wood, contrasted with anodized aluminum, brings warmth, elegance, and practicality, while gently reflecting the light throughout the space.
